The 35L Echo has arrived in South Africa and here is the review.

 ECHO 35L HIKING S_CAPE

Upon opening the packaging the first thing that hits you is the quality, creating a sense of excitement and a close second is the beautiful blue colour. The fabric used in manufacturing this backpack is remarkable, it reminds me of the quality and workmanship one would expect form brands like K-Way or Dueter. The colour choices are very well selected with different shades of blue and breaking the edges with traces of yellow which complements the style and durability of this backpack very well.

The new-comer brand S-CAPE has been in the South African market since the end of 2015 and has sold over 1200 units in the previous summer season. Their attention to detail and passion for quality products can clearly be found in the 35L Echo backpack.

Carrying the backpack is the most important thing; looks won’t make you feel comfortable. This backpack however does, it absolutely make you feel comfortable. Its vented mesh back support conforms to the curvature of your back and snugly rests on your hips. It’s got a function where you can remove the back support and use the backpack as an everyday backpack without the back support, but I prefer the back support.

When things start to get wet you can make use of the shocking bright orange rain cover. It covers the entire backpack and also provides high viability be it in the bush or on the side of the road.

The compartments are well designed and the layout is easy to use with great functionality. There is a wet and dry divider in the main compartment to use for your bladder hydration or if you have wet clothes that you need to keep separate. Additionally there is a front compartment for easy access to smaller items you need close at hand like keys or your phone.

All and all this is a very good quality backpack with great functionality, perfect for a day trip or just everyday general use.
